GFM-513 RFK Bridge and Miscellaneous Authority Wide Painting

The RFK Bridge connects Queens and Manhattan/Bronx. Comprised of three separate structures with the main structure being the heavily traveled main suspended span bridge, which is over 1,300 feet-long.  The side spans are over 650 feet long each.

SEPC performed the construction inspection for blast cleaning and painting at RFK Bridge and other facilities throughout TBTA bridges.   The following work was inspected:

• Cleaning and coating of RFK Bridge suspension cables
• Cleaning and coating of suspended span tower exteriors at RFK Bridge
• Blast cleaning and painting of all suspended span tower interiors at RFK Bridge
• Toll plazas washing and touch up painting at RFK, Whitestone Bridge, Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and other locations.
• Construction warranty inspection to inspect previously painted structures and document paint condition.
