Construction Inspection Services, Bridge Rehabilitation Contract, Towns of Oyster Bay, Hempstead and N. Hempstead, Nassau County
SEPC provided construction inspection services for multiple bridges located on Long Island, New York. The project included concrete pier-cap beams, pedestals, sidewalks, medians, and curbs, the removal and replacement of deck joints, reconstruction of deck slabs, removal and replacement of tri-beam guiderails at multiple locations, removal of existing asphalt wearing surface, installation of waterproof membranes, and the placement of new asphalt overlay. The project also included inspection of asphaltic plus joints, HPIC concrete, crack sealing, waterproofing asphalt, micro-milling, shotcrete, and maintenance and protection of traffic.
Three (3) of the thirteen (13) bridges required coordination with Long Island Railroad.
