Construction Inspection and Quality Assurance Services for Design-Build D900043 Kew Gardens
The Kew Gardens Interchange connects to the Grand Central Parkway, Union Turnpike, Van Wyck Expressway, and Jackie Robinson Parkway. SEPC is provided construction quality assurance and construction inspection services. SEPC have conducted construction inspections on multiple bridges for conformance to Plans and Specifications for all roadway, structures, and specialty items. The work included concrete and rebar placement (footings, columns, piers caps, abutments, deck slabs), pile foundations (Cast-in-Place, drill), steel erection (girders, diaphragms, lateral bracings) and bolt tensioning. Other work included retaining walls (GRSS Wall, T-wall, Cantilever Retaining Wall, Piled Retaining Wall), excavations (SOE systems), highway lighting, drainage structure installation (Manholes, RCP pipes, catch basins), concrete and asphalt roadway paving and striping, work zone traffic control, construction staging, and site erosion protection.
