Scoping Study for the Addition of an Exit Ramp from Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway

The feasibility study was for the addition of an exit ramp from the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Cross Island Parkway (CIP) in Queens in conjunction with NYCDOT bridge improvements on CIP bridge over Totten Ave./212th St. (PIN #X770.35). SEPC was responsible for preparing the preliminary design for the flyover, a new roadway, and its merger with CIP. Also included in the scope was widening of CIP to accommodate the new roadway (ramp). The work included design for road widening and alignment including sheet piling, utilities, drainage design, Initial Environmental Impact Assessment Screening, detailed construction cost estimates and schedule for various alternates. SEPC also identified all permits which will be required for construction.
