Design Services for NY 110 Pedestrian Safety Improvements, Suffolk County

 

SEPC performed final design services (Phases V and VI) for Pedestrian Safety and Operational Improvement on NY State Route 110 in Suffolk County, New York. The pedestrian safety improvements included, but were not limited to the following:

  • Realignment of left turn lanes
  • New crosswalks at existing signalized intersections including sidewalk curb ramps
  • Reconstruction of existing intersections to provide pedestrian facilities
  • Improvements at intersections
  • Improvements on midblock crossings
  • Installation of pedestrian refuge islands
